Rajnikanth off to Mumbai for Hindi ‘Robot’

Superstar Rajnikanth will be visiting Mumbai after 15 long years for the music release of his upcoming movie ‘Robot’. The Tamil film’s audio was launched in Kuala Lumpur a couple of weeks ago. Recently, the songs of the Telugu version, ‘The Robot’, too were launched at Hyderabad with superstars Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu releasing the album.On August 14, Rajnikanth will be flying down to Mumbai along with AR Rahman and Shankar for musical release. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be present for the occasion.Shankar had previously made his direct Hindi film ‘Nayak’ with Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherji in lead roles.Shahrukh Khan was supposed to produce and act in Shankar’s ‘Robot’ and the project was dropped on the spur of the moment, due to difference of opinions. The music release of ‘Robot’ will take place at Hotel Marriot and Rajnikanth is expected to meet Amitabh Bachchan tonight.Rajnikanth plays the dual role of a scientist and a robot while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan performs the role of a college student Sana.
