Tamanna sacrifices Kollywood for Tollywood

Tamanna who made her debut in Tollywood has always a special place in her heart for Telugu cinema. Despite being worshipped and made a star by Tamil audience, she has always preferred to be in Telugu cinema industry.

However, it took a while for her Happy Days to start in Tollywood. Now, Tamanna’s time has come and she is right now ringing with plum offers. Tamanna’s 100% Love and Badrinath are gearing up for summerrelease.

She is also playing the heroine roles in NTR’s Rachcha and Ram’s Mana Love Story movies. Recently, she was roped into play Ram Charan’s love interest in Sampath Nandi’s film. With Tollywood dreams finally coming true, Tamanna has deliberately put Kollywood aside. She has just one Tamil film, Venghai on her hands at the moment.

Jayanth upset with Pawan and Ganesh

Guests who attended the ‘teen maar’ audio release praised Ganesh Babu for his awesome skill in promotingthe film. Apparently this comedy producer seems to have taken it from heart going top gear into a different kind of publicity stunt using the name of Trivikram Srinivas. As this talented dialogue writer and best friend of Pawan Kalyan amended the story and script of ‘Love Aaj Kal’ to match the image of Power Star, he hogged the limelight on audio release day. Perhaps Pawan too said, it was only on bharosa of Trivikram that he accepted ‘teen maar.’

Now, a new talk in the market about Trivikram directing key episodes of film with acceptance from Pawan Kalyan is called to be a desperate promotional move from Ganesh Babu. Having known this, Jayant C Paranji is upset with Trivikram taking away his major credit. When Ganesh and Pawan are too much encouraging media to use the name of Trivikram with ‘teen maar’, frustration from Jayant is truly justified.

The buzz is that perhaps Trivikram is busy director-cum-writer with no time to follow the progress of ‘Teen Maar’ every day. So, it was through Pawan Kalyan that Trivikram directed major love episodes with Trisha and Kriti Kharbhanda.

Trisha and Ileana become Mother addicted

Producers need to impress the heroine mothers more than heroines. This is an ancient tradition in industry that mummies are most critical to handle. Presently there are two heroines who are not making a single move into market without the help and assistance of their mothers. Buzz is that Trisha and Ileana has become mother addicted. All the way from shootings to audio releases till the success tours and 100 day celebrations, both these sultry heroines are unable to leave their mothers who are accompanying daughters everywhere.

It might be the factor of safety for daughters or a matter of doubt for mothers but heroines feel a miss of privacy. Even directors feel uncomfortable with these extra lugguages which tend to obstruct the shootings for every small issue. When thought from the view point of mothers, they have their own fears with grown up daughters moving in between wild men with skimpy costumes and tempting looks. There are few people who say that it is safety for heroines to always stay in shadow of their mothers when attending parties and cine events.

NTR’s ‘Shakti’ negative talks floating high

Jr. NTR’s magnum opus Shakthi that is slated for release on April 1 has been cleared by the censors with an A certificate. As a customary in Tollywood, the initial report, which is largely known as censor report is making rounds in film nagar at the moment.

As per those reports, Shakti is not up to the mark. The flashback portion which is being heavily hyped by the producer and director isn’t up to the mark it seems. Meher Ramesh failed to handle a high voltage subject with huge span, says the reports. They conclude that Shakti may not live up to expectations and given its huge budget, buyers should find it tough!

However, Jr. NTR fans need not worry about this. There are many instances in the past where such reports were proven wrong by the audience. After all only the audience take counts and he is the final judge. Let’s hope NTR rocks again with this high budget project.

Siddharth giving dubbing for ’180′

The dubbing for the Telugu version of 180 is already underway in Hyderabad. Siddharth began dubbing three days ago in Shabdhalaya studios, Hyderabad. P Jayendra has directed the film and Kiran Reddy and Swaroop Reddy of Sathyam Cinemas & C Srikanth of Aghal Films are jointly producing the film. Priya Anand and Nithya Menon are playing the female leads in this film which is touted to be a pleasant love story. Sharreth Vasudevan has composed the music.

The entire film has been shot using a Red One camera and one of the songs has been shot using a Phanton HD camera, which can shoot upto 2500 fps (frames per second). Vanamali has written the lyrics and Balu is the cinematographer. Internationally renowned colourist, Kevin Shaw, who’s from London, is doing the colour grading for the film. The film’s audio is expected to hit the stands in mid-April and the film sometime in early May this year. The film will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil.

Bala Krishna’s full-length role in Manoj’s film?

Manchu Manoj’s next flick titled Vuu Kodathara Ullikki Padathara to be produced by his sister Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna is gearing up to hit the floors shortly.

It is known that Bala Krishna has been approached for a role in the film and the star has given his nod. Earlier, it was touted as cameo role, but the latest reports say Bala Krishna is going to be seen in a crucial role in a full-fledged role in the film. Deeksha Seth will play the female lead in this socio-fantasy film to be directed by a debutant Raj.

Samantha’s movie hitting the screens on 1st April!

Stunning actress Samantha’s new film Kurralloy Kurrallu is gearing up to hit the big screens on 1st April. The movie is a dubbed version of Tamil film Bana Kathaadi that has Kollyood hero Atharva in the lead role.

Srinivas Damera is bringing the film to Tollywood screens under the banner Five colours multi media. The movie is touted as a love entertainer and was directed by Bhadri Venkatesh. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music for the film.

The film-makers say, the climax would be the highlight of the film and they have taken care in the dubbing activities to bring down the feel of a Telugu film.

Mahesh Babu as Veerudu!

It is well-aware that Tollywood’s Prince Mahesh Babu has accepted a new film with Ace director Mani Ratnam which is a multi-starrer flick. The latest update regarding this multi-crore project is the film has been titled as Veerudu in the Telugu version.

Being made based on a novel, Mahesh will be seen in the title role of the film as a King and the movie willroll onto the floors in the month of October. Mani Ratnam is said to be busy scouting the locales for the film. Kollywood actors Vijay and Arya are playing the other lead roles in the film and Anushka is zeroed in to pair up with Vijay. Mani Ratnam is yet to confirm the other two heroines for Mahesh and Arya. Besides this AR Rahman the lucky mascot of Mani is going to score the tunes for the Veerudu.

Nutan Prasad Passed away

Popular villain-turned-character artiste Nutan Prasad is no more. The 61-year old versatile actor, who was ailing for some time, died while being taken to Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning.

Born on October 10, 1950, Nutan Prasad, whose real name was Tadinada Vara Prasad, started his career as a theatre artiste and made his entry into films with Andala Ramudu as a small-time villain. He played a similar role in Mutyala Muggu, which brought him a lot of name and fame.

His acting career reached its peak with the movie “Rajadhiraju” in which he acted as Saitan. The moviebecame very popular by his acting and the song ” Kotta devudandi babu kotta devudandi” is still popular till today.

Nutan Prasad although acted with all the generation of heroes was particularly popular with the secondgeneration heroes. Movies like “Patnam Vachina Pativratalu”, “Khaidi (village munsab)”, “Magamaharaju” ,”Srivariki Premalekha”, “Kathanayakudu”, “Aha Naa Pellanta” etc continued his winning streak.

He was famous for dialogues such as “Desham chala klishta paristitilo undhi…” and “Nootokka Jillala Andaganni”. In 1989 While shooting for the film Baama Maata Bangaaru Baata he had an accident on his spine that left him paralysed from the waist down and since then, he had to use wheel chair. He then quit acting in movies. Once in a while he appeared in guest roles. He also gives voice over and commentary for serials and movies.

He won Nandi award for the best actor in a supporting role in 1984. In 2005, Nutan Prasad was bestowed upon with NTR National award. His dialogue delivery gave villainism a comic touch. He co-starred in many movies with almost all big stars like NTR, ANR, Krishna, Chiru etc doing all kinds of characters like acomedian, villain, character artist etc, he even acted as a hero in one movie.

Before his accident, Nutan Prasad had tried his luck in politics, too. Being a staunch follower of NTR, he joined the Telugu Desam Party and campaigned for the party in the elections. Later, he dropped out of the politics because of accident.

This movie will have Prakash Tholeti as director and the latest reports are that Genelia is going to pair with Rana. Puri Jagannadh’s latest film Nenu Naa Rakshasi audio will be launched on April 10. Rana Daggubati andIleana are paired up in this film for the first time. This movie is slated for release on April 29.

Vishwas and Rehman have composed music to Nenu Naa Rakshasi. People who have heard the songs are raving about the music. It is believed that Puri made this movie with an unusual story.

This film is about suicidal tendency and its consequences. Puri has churned out a love story from this backdrop. Ileana has given her all time best performance in Nenu Naa Rakshasi, says the buzz.
